The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team is famous by the name itself. They are Formula One three-time champions amongst many awards, and famous to race-lovers and those who love speed and engines. This is a chance in a lifetime to do what you are really inspired by.
A lot of people might feel intimidated by the name of Mercedes-AMG but the presenters showed a friendly vibe and were very easy to approach from the beginning of the talk.
The placements for undergraduates and the graduate scheme are aimed at students enjoying mechanical engineering, since the team offers working opportunities with leaders in the field themselves, in order to improve speed and reliability. With attractive salaries per annum plus a generous holiday scheme, the team wants to show appreciation towards staff and workers in each team, with a nice working environment where everyone can find themselves easily getting along with the whole team.
A large number of placement students found positions in F1 (which is very exciting) upon graduation; 4 graduates and 19 undergraduates joined them for the 2018 cycle. Working with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team means that you have the chance to work with team leaders like Toto Wolff, Niki Lauda and James Allison in aerodynamics, design process development, dyno, software integration testing, performance tool engineering, transmission design, test and development design, or even finance!
If you are keen on working in a dynamic and speedy environment, why don’t you test yourself with Mercedes-AMG and who knows, you might be the one to create the next triumphant victory of the Formula One team.
