Welcome to your Careers Service

Posted in: Careers Service Update

Whether you are a new or returning student, studying remotely or back in Bath – we are so excited to welcome you – or welcome you back. Over the summer we have been busy working on the best ways we can support you over the coming year. Read on to find out more about how you can make the most of our services.

Keeping up to date

The way we operate will look a little bit different this year. Our base in the Virgil Building will only be open to students coming for a limited number of booked appointments and our events will be happening remotely. As the Semester progresses, things may change so keep up to date with our Update page.

How we can help

Despite these changes – we are still here to help! Whatever you want to do in the future – whether your career path is clear or not – your Careers Service is here to support you. We can advise you on opportunities you have right now, help you develop skills and if you are not sure what you want to do, we can help clarify your career thinking. Our focus is singular - we want to empower you to pursue careers that are fulfilling and to make a living doing what you love.

We have adapted our service to ensure flexibility and access when you need it:

  • Online – meet with our expert Careers and Application Advisers, attend employer led events and participate in sector specific sessions to engage with Bath alumni.
  • On-demand – engage with your future on MyFuture when it suits you. You have access to resources on demand to help you learn about different careers, access event recordings and a wealth of resources on making successful applications. Read our blog for more handy tips.
  • In-person – We are currently able to offer a limited number of face to face appointments. As the Semester progresses we hope to be able to offer more of our services in person.
