Principal Fellow workshop for strategic leaders of learning and teaching

Posted in: Uncategorised

Are you having strategic impact across the university (not just your department) or beyond in relation to learning and teaching?  If so, join us to hear how you can gain recognition for this experience.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, 1 February, 2018 from 09:30 to 16:00 on campus.   Professor Sally Bradley from the HEA will be running this session which comprises two parts. The first explores what Principal Fellowship (PFHEA) involves and what evidence you need to make an application. For those of you who may be ready, or have even started,  to make an application for Principal Fellow in the near future*, there will be dedicated time in the afternoon for a 1-2-1 discussion with Sally.

As there are only a set number of spaces at this workshop and just a few 1-2-1 slots, please provide a few lines indicating:

  1. your expression of interest and why;
  2. an outline of any evidence you may have that would support an application for PFHEA;
  3. if you have started on an application.

If expressions of interest exceed the numbers of places on the workshop we will prioritise attendance based on those with the most relevant experience and evidence. Send your expression of interest in attending answering the questions above to acdev@bath.ac.uk by 25 January, 2018. We will confirm your place and provide details of the workshop in the New Year.

*Please note: Anyone eligible to make a claim for PFHEA will need to seek support for the fee from their department as PFHEA is only possible via a direct application to the HEA (click to see more details) and not via the Bath Scheme.
