Opportunity to pilot new assessment and feedback solution

Posted in: assessment, technology enhanced learning

The Centre for Learning and Teaching is delighted to announce plans to take part in a pilot of Edword; a dedicated assessment and feedback solution that has the potential to transform the way in which students engage with their feedback.

Like many dedicated assessment engines, a simple interface provides markers with a library of feedback comments that can be customised, reused and shared, making the process of feedback provision quicker, but it’s the powerful learner analytics and reporting facilities that make Edword stand out from the crowd.

For the first time, markers will be able to see the how much time their students spend reviewing individual feedback comments and will themselves gain insight into which comments the students find most helpful.

If you are interested in finding out more, this brief introductory video may be of interest.

The pilot will run until the end of the 2021/22 academic year and is open to staff who will be assessing first year student submissions.  We are looking to work with staff who are delivering both formative and summative assignments and would welcome participants from all subject areas.

So… if you’ve ever wondered what students do with the feedback that you give them, or what types of feedback they find most helpful, do get in touch!
