Office 365 Is Coming

Posted in: Communications & Collaboration

I'm excited to announce that Office 365 will soon be available to Staff and Students at the University of Bath.

In the coming months we will begin the process of enabling a range of exciting new products and services such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online.

These fantastic services will be delivered from Microsoft's Secure Cloud and offer vast improvements for productivity and collaborative working both inside and outside of the University.

Office 365 will be delivered in a number of phases, starting off  with the migration of the current Email and Calendar Service. First, new and existing students will be migrated, followed soon after by staff. We'll then begin enabling new tools and offering a range of services to support usage and adoption.

This a huge step for the University which I hope will deliver some remarkable benefits and improve the way we all use technology to get things done.

Timescales for delivery are still being considered, but I hope to be able to announce more on this in the near future.
