Coffee Breaks
The e-learning Team are using Megameeting to support our coffee breaks (online presentations). The following describes this from the perspective of the participant (attendee).
Step 1: Registering for the course via the traditional routes, ie., via the LTEO web site.
Step 2: The day before the event you will receive an email invite from the system (megameeting). This will include a link to an audio test. You are recommended to complete the audio test.
Step 3: At the time of the meeting follow the URL in the invite and participate in the meeting.
Notes:
- There is no software required to participate. You will not need to install any software.
- You are recommended to have at least a head set (so you can hear the presentation).
- To participate (ask questions) you can use the text box. A microphone is a bonus
If you have any questions then please email e-learning@bath.ac.uk

I display the following for people to read as they enter the room. I use the noticeboard tool

You are strongly advised to set your audio at the appropriate level and run the audio wizard. When you are not talking please make sure the audio (top left corner) is not locked on, and the mic level is set appropriately.

It is not expected that you’ll need video for the coffee breaks. However, if your web cam is attached could you ensure you are not displaying video (botton on left hand side)

The hope is you will contribute. Therefore, if you wsih to speak please raise your hand. To do this, click on the drop down menu above the attendees name, and select raise hand. If you have a question for all or an individual during the presentation then please use the chat box. We’ll come back to these later. If we do’t have time then we’ll continue the discssion in the e-learning Practitioners Forum. If you’d like to present some material during the session, such as a powerpoint or web page then ensure you have downloaded and installed the share my desktop software.
