It seems that Waste Watch and Keep Britain Tidy are to merge (although you'd be hard pressed to know this from looking at their web sites this morning). Speculation has been rife about the new organisation's name, with the hot money on:
- Untidy Britain
- Keep Watching the Waste
- Wasting Away
... before it was announced that both brands are retained in the merger, with Keep Britain Tidy becoming the trading name. The new organisation will keep the Keep Britain Tidy office in Wigan and the Waste Watch office in London – pro tem.
Question is, does anyone think that this will make the slightest difference to the disgracefully littered state of the country? Me neither.
