Aichi-Nagoya 1 – Will you be there?

Will you be at Aichi-Nagoya, I mean, for UNESCO's latest ESDFest which starts today?  It has been billed by the terminally optimistic as the beginning to the end of the world's problems.  This, on balance, may be somewhat exaggerated, and I hope not to be seen as too defeatist in taking that view.

The answer to whether you're going (already there, more like) is likely to be "No", if you're from the UK, as only 4 people are turning up.  But, as this was an invitation only event, you can hardly be blamed.  None of the 4 are from the government, it seems, as the UK and devolved administrations decided not to send representation – or maybe they just couldn't agree who should go, given the sensitivities around who represents whom in this constitutionally-benighted set of islands.

Anyway, with only 4 present, the other 67,999,996 (or so) of us will have to follow it all at a distance.  Mercifully, e-media etc makes that easy.  But what (and whom) to follow?  I thought to read the FT, for analysis, and the Daily Mail, for balance; so expect comments on their reporting, with other snippets to enliven matters.
