I see that Earth Hour has come round again. It's like birthdays – relentless.
WWF urges us to switch off our lights on March 19th at 2030 "to show we care about our brilliant planet". As this will be over two hours after sunset, let's hope that not everyone takes this nonsense seriously. Otherwise, there's likely to be a run on NHS A&E facilities as people fall down, kick things, generally get confused, and fires are started by knocked-over candles.
Of course, as this is WWF, money isn't far from the surface of things, and just one click takes you to a page of ideas of how (much) to contribute to the Guardians of the Panda and other lost causes.
