Did you catch this obituary about neoliberalism in the Guardian from Martin Jacques?
Rather wishful thinking, I felt, and astonishingly neglectful of the world beyond the USA-EU-UK axis. What about the world’s poor and the SDGs, I wondered … . Still, it's a summary that actually expresses a view on what the neoliberal project is (was?), which is more than most people who write about usually bother to do.
But how to explain such an oversight? By way of background (and perhaps of explication), here's a comment on Jacques's work over time from wsws.org – a website which I feel I should point out has nothing to do with me.
