Jan 26th: Moodle Development Plan 2010
Posted by Nitin Parmar in Development January 26th, 2010Over the last three academic years, it is clear that use of Moodle has become a significant component of a wide range of learning and teaching related activities at the University of Bath, as well as being use to support a number of other activities such as support Industrial Placement schemes, Research Groups and the Personal Tutorial System.
As usage of Moodle has increased, so have the demands of staff and students on what the application can deliver. Some requests, such as easy display of TeX notation or embedding of YouTube files in Moodle, have been delivered without significant time or resource overhead. However, a number of larger projects have often been difficult to successfully accomplish without the development of a plan, which has user consultation as a core component of it.
The aim of the Moodle Development Plan 2010 is twofold. First, it is to state the Moodle development priorities for the 2009/10 academic year, thereby giving the university community a clearer idea of the development priorities over the coming months. Second, it is to continue a process of giving the university community an opportunity to be consulted about developments. It can be found at http://go.bath.ac.uk/moodledevplan2010
