At this time of year, thoughts begin to turn to Moodle housekeeping – clearing down and preparing Moodle courses for the new academic year.

In preparation for this, the e-Learning Team has produced an end of academic year housekeeping guide which you may find useful. This guide has been specifically developed with Moodle 1.9 in mind and should replace any older versions that you may still be using.

Additionally, a new e-book has been made available via the Moodle staff area which covers many aspects of Moodle use.  Whilst written with Moodle 1.8 rather than 1.9 in mind, ‘Using Moodle’ still holds a great deal of value for those wishing to explore new aspects of Moodle.

Although some areas of Moodle may differ between the two versions, this book nevertheless continues to provide a helpful “hands-on guide with examples, screenshots, best practices, and suggestions for using Moodle tools effectively and creatively”.
