On Saturday 14th April, a group of Omnibus members, friends and family ventured on the coach to Cardiff. Some took the opportunity to shop ‘til they dropped, while others headed for the Castle, Museum or the Bay. Most though made their way down to the RHS Flower Show. As usual the event didn’t disappoint, even the sun put in a welcome appearance. This year in amongst the beautiful blooms and fragrant floral displays, the delicious offerings from the food stall and the ornate gifts in the craft stall, stood magnificent giant crocheted flowers and garden tools which caught everyone’s attention. Much money passed hands and Omnibus members staggered back to the coach heavy-laden but happy.
The next Omnibus trip is to Windsor castle on 14th July. Places for this are filling up fast, so if you are interested contact Ann Linfield as soon as possible. Following that will be a day trip to Stratford-upon –Avon on Saturday 18th August (cost £15 max.)
