The University of Bath are hosting a visit from the Science and Technology Facilities Council's (STFC) Public Engagement team on the 8th May from 2 – 4.45pm in the Edge Arts Building.
Open to all University staff, this is an exciting opportunity to hear first-hand how STFC can support you with public engagement, receive expert advice on Research Council funding applications and ask your own questions about public engagement within the context of UKRI.
Dr Derek Gillespie (Head of Skills & Engagement, STFC) and Dr Neville Hollingworth (Public Engagement Manager, STFC) will be on-hand to share STFC’s public engagement strategy, alongside the latest UKRI developments. The visit will also feature a practical workshop providing advice and real examples for preparing funding applications such as pathways to impact and dedicated Engagement Awards such as the STFC Reaction Award scheme.
Professor Jonathan Knight (Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research)) and Professor Jeremy Bradshaw (Pro- Vice-Chancellor (International and Doctoral)) will be in attendance alongside Professor Carole Mundell (Head of Department, Physics).
The visit is being hosted by the Public Engagement Unit and will be held 2 – 4.45pm on Tuesday 8th May in the Edge Arts building, Fine Arts Studio.
