Service Description:
To allow users to create a QR Code (url, email, sms and text) which they can download (and save) to include within their electronic and physical material.
The service is also includes:
- dynamic generation of the QR Codes which are displayed in Moodle,
- dynamic generation of QR Codes used for the recording and monitoring of physically handed in assignments (currently being piloted in the Faculty of Engineering).
To provide support for staff on the innovative uses of barcodes and QR Codes in their learning and teaching. This will be through the collection and dissemination of good practice (both internal and external to the University) and the provision of staff development opportunities.
To provide ongoing research into the effective uses of QR Codes within UK HEIs (as described above).
The QR Code Service Blog is hosted by Web Services, and the content is written by members of the e-learning Team.
