The Pilots
There are a number of pilots being rolled out during 2008-09. The aim of these pilots is for us to gain a better understanding of the issues surrounding the use of SMS texting in teaching and learning. These pilots will be evaluated from the perspective of all stakeholders. The current pilots are;
- Computer Science: Using SMS in the recruitment process
- e-learning Team: SMS alerts, sign up sheets and audience input
- Learning Support: Using SMS alerts in Learning Support
- Learning Support: Using SMS in the Bath Assessment Centre
- Faculty of Engineering (Distance Learning Unit) SMS to keep in touch with remote learners
