HSBC graduate blog – find out what it’s really like

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012

hsbc-logoEmployees on the HSBC graduate scheme contribute to The Graduate Blog  providing potential candidates an unique insight into the HSBC recruitment process.

HSBC suggest you use the content to help with your applications and to post questions, suggestions and feedback.

While I was scanning the blog and clicking on different posts to get a feeling for the content I noticed one post written by a Bath BBA student! Stefana talked about her experiences of applying for their placement scheme and her delight when she found out that she would indeed be spending 6 months going to work in Canary Wharf. She also recounted her thoughts and feelings on her very first day:

On my first visit to 8CS, I came to meet the team I was going to work with and I still remember how mesmerized I was when I got out of the underground. I stared at the building for some minutes and I pictured myself working on the top floor (this is what I call self motivation). I expected to have to keep a serious face, to talk just about financial news or what I know about HSBC and instead I discovered a lovely team of really nice people. My managers are both great and are really keen to know how the other team members feel.
