I'm pleased to announce that we will be holding the first conference for University of Bath technical staff on Tuesday 4 June 2019. This will be a great opportunity to get together and celebrate what technicians contribute to the University, as well as finding out more about the Technician Commitment, both here and elsewhere in the sector.
Guest speaker Kelly Vere (Technician Commitment Lead, Science Council) will share her experience of the impact the Technician Commitment has had to date on technical staff in higher education and research.
There will also be a poster exhibition showcasing the work that technicians do - we're keen for every technical team to prepare a poster for this to work! This can be very simple and feature examples of the work you're involved in, focus on a specific project, introduce your team members or anything else you choose. More details to follow.
