On Friday 10 November a large schools event will be taking place on campus attracting 250 visitors.
In order to accommodate the additional visiting vehicles the rear of the East car park (as per the red boxed area on the below plan) will be closed from 10pm on Thursday 9 November until 5pm on Friday 10 November. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The annual Ride Across Britain event is taking place again this year from Saturday 9 September to Sunday 17 September 2017.
We are expecting approximately 900 cyclists to stay on campus overnight on the night of Sunday 10 September until Monday 11 September. In order to facilitate their equipment they are being provided with exclusive use of the rear of the East car park and the entire East extension car park.
To ensure that the car parks will be sufficiently clear they will be closed from 10pm on Friday 8 September 2017 until the afternoon of Monday 11 September 2017.

There will be increased traffic on campus on Wednesday 5 July. Graduation events are being held on the Chancellor’s Building green and in the centre of Bath with many parents expected to arrive on campus before taking buses into the city centre.
On the same day the University is also hosting the Westport event which will see around 70 coaches and mini buses on campus to drop off the 1,400 children and associated staff. School children and staff will be dropped off at the top of the East Carpark at around 9.15am and then picked up at around 4pm. The Lacrosse pitch on the West of the Campus has been allocated for additional parking to ease congestion.
The security staff will be bringing in additional staff to manage events on and off campus.
The metal track panels in the East car park overflow field are being removed on Monday 23 May 2016 to allow for work to begin on laying the new temporary car park surface. The area will remain out of use for a number of weeks, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The Invictus Games team trials are being held at the STV from Friday 29 January to Sunday 31 January, with over 100 disabled athletes expected to attend each day. In order to facilitate parking requirements for the athletes part of the East car park will be closed off.
The area within the red box on the below plan will be reserved for the sole use of Invictus athletes for the three day period. It will be closed off from the evening of Thursday 28 and re-opened for normal use on the morning of Monday 1 February.
The University of Bath will be hosting participants of the Ride Across Britain cycling event between Saturday 5 and Monday 7 September 2015.
As a result the eastern-most section of the East Car Park (beyond the coach bays, purple in below image) and the whole of the East Extension Car Park (green in below image) will be closed at 8pm on Friday 4th September for use by event personnel.
The East Car Park will fully reopen at 10.30am on Monday 7th September and the East Extension Car Park will reopen later that day at 1pm.
Please remove any vehicles from these parking areas prior to the closures.
