Engineering products are becoming increasingly complex. More than ever their success will be dependent on understanding the context in which the innovation will operate. That is, engineering design needs to take a transdisciplinary approach. But what are the skills required to operate a transdisciplinary design project? Until now there has been a gap in this knowledge. That’s why we are very excited by the PhD research of Jana Sajdakova which aims to profile transdisciplinary skills.
Although not part of the TREND team Jana works closely with us and her findings will contribute to our research programme and help inform the creation of the TE index.
