We\u2019re\u00a0excited to introduce this year\u2019s Student Co-Creators (SCCs)\u00a0at\u00a0the Skills\u00a0Centre!<\/p>\n

They are\u00a0current\u00a0University of Bath students\u00a0bringing\u00a0real\u00a0insight\u00a0into student experiences\u00a0and helping us\u00a0improve how we support students\u00a0across\u00a0a\u00a0range of skills support.\u00a0Over the next few months,\u00a0they\u2019ll\u00a0be working on a\u00a0variety\u00a0of\u00a0projects,\u00a0from developing\u00a0new resources\u00a0on\u00a0MySkills<\/a>, to shaping new Digital and GenAI initiatives and enhancing My Employability Profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Below,\u00a0you can get to know each of them and find out what\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0most excited to work on.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Amy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Amy<\/a><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Hi, my name is Amy and\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0a second year Natural Sciences student.\u00a0Outside of my course I am chair of the\u00a0Catholic society (CathSoc) and enjoy sports including\u00a0taekwondo as well\u00a0as kayaking.\u00a0This semester,\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0also taken the challenge\u00a0of\u00a0starting to learn French for the first time since\u00a0my\u00a0GCSEs.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Within my role as a Skills co-creator for academic projects, I\u2019m looking forward to developing my technical competencies in tools such as Canva in addition to learning more generally about how projects are successively implemented. Over the summer I worked as a Bath insights intern within the academic registry where my main project in that role was reviewing the web pages of the academic registry; I\u2019m really hoping I can use what I learnt over the summer to make the academic skills provision truly student centered.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Runi<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Hi! My name is Runi and I am\u00a0currently in my second year at the university pursuing Sport management and coaching.\u00a0I am also a peer mentor and student ambassador for my course.\u00a0Outside of my degree, I am\u00a0the captain of the\u00a0women\u2019s badminton\u00a0team,\u00a0and I love to travel or just spend time with my friends.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am\u00a0excited\u00a0to\u00a0start my new role as\u00a0Skill's\u00a0co-creator where I would\u00a0be working within the digital skills team.\u00a0What particularly\u00a0interests\u00a0me\u00a0about this role\u00a0is to create positive student\u00a0experiences\u00a0by\u00a0genuinely listening\u00a0to student voices\u00a0and designing accessible and inclusive digital resources for the students.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am hoping to develop my knowledge about digital tools such as\u00a0Canva\u00a0through this role, I am also looking forward to the research element of the role\u00a0as I\u00a0thoroughly\u00a0enjoy engaging with data and learning about people\u2019s experience.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ngan<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Hi,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0Ngan from Vietnam, and I moved here six months ago to study MSc Human Resource Management at the University of Bath. My background\u00a0is in\u00a0Human Resource, Business Management, and Creative Production. Outside of work and study, I enjoy reading, art, and trekking.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During my relatively\u00a0short time\u00a0at the University of Bath,\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0been trying to make the\u00a0most of\u00a0opportunities to gain exposure to the international academic environment as well as the local\u00a0labour\u00a0market. This is the main reason I applied for the SCC role.\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0also particularly interested in training and development and employability coaching, and I would love the opportunity to contribute my experience to\u00a0support\u00a0other students while further developing my own skills through this role.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through this opportunity, I hope to deepen my understanding of project management and the development of educational and training content for students, as well as strengthen relevant technical skills such as data collection and analytics.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
