Congratulations to our students and staff! Learners from across the University of Bath and the local community have recently achieved fantastic results in the Goethe-Zertifikat A1\u2013B2 German exams \u2014 internationally recognised qualifications that enhance global employability and academic opportunities.<\/p>\n
A total of 30 university students from a variety of disciplines took the Goethe-Zertifikat exams on campus in early May after completing German language courses during the 2025\/26 academic year. To further support their preparation, participants also attended five tailored exam preparatory workshops alongside their regular classes.<\/p>\n
Their results were outstanding and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements.<\/p>\n
Preparing for the Goethe-Zertifikat B2 exam was a truly rewarding experience. The lessons and workshops helped me improve my German language skills and gain confidence in using the language. Passing the exam was a proud achievement, and the qualification will be valuable for my future studies and career in the social sciences. The Goethe-Zertifikat is more than just a language qualification. Alongside demonstrating language proficiency and cultural understanding, it reflects transferable employability skills such as communicative competence, the ability to work in a team, presentation skills, perseverance, and resilience \u2014 qualities highly valued by employers and essential for success in today\u2019s global job market. These skills open doors to international study, research opportunities, and diverse career paths.<\/p>\n
I found this programme very helpful in strengthening my language skills and earning a certificate. Having evidence of my language learning journey could also support my placement next year, especially in a German-speaking country. In addition, the programme was well structured for both practice and building confidence in speaking a foreign language. Overall, I feel that I made significant progress and am very satisfied with my results.
