The new system will be named <strong>Balena<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The name was suggested by <em>Federico Brivio<\/em> from the Department of Chemistry. In order to continue the tradition of Italian-animal naming, Federico has suggested <strong>Balena<\/strong>. Balena means Whale: a big, clever mammal that never sleeps completely and represents a big, clever computer. There is an additional joke, since \"balena\" also means hurtle and flash, which is is a good description for the new supercomputer.<\/p>\n<p>Well done Federico!
