{"id":388,"date":"2015-12-11T10:51:22","date_gmt":"2015-12-11T10:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/av\/?p=388"},"modified":"2015-12-11T10:52:50","modified_gmt":"2015-12-11T10:52:50","slug":"review-service-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/av\/2015\/12\/11\/review-service-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Re:View Service Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of some changes to our Re:View platform, Panopto are moving our service from America to a Europe host.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to do this stems from <a href=\"http:\/\/curia.europa.eu\/jcms\/upload\/docs\/application\/pdf\/2015-10\/cp150117en.pdf\">http:\/\/curia.europa.eu\/jcms\/upload\/docs\/application\/pdf\/2015-10\/cp150117en.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From Monday 14 December (16:00) our existing content will be 'frozen' into a read only mode. It's intended that the switch back on will be 18 December.<\/p>\n<p>This means that you can still access any content you have on the system - you just won't be able to create anything new.<br \/>\nSo students can still use the system to revise, but all users won't be able to create any new content.<\/p>\n<p>There are some benefits to the move - as the data centre for Europe has a connection to JANET, and should subsequently be a little faster.<br \/>\nAs part of the change there will be a new web address, which we will confirm in the very near future.<\/p>\n<p>We're working closely with colleagues in LTEO and with Panopto to do this move as quickly and smoothly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>If anyone does wish to record any content in the meantime, then please contact us on <a href=\"mailto:a.v.bookings@bath.ac.uk\">a.v.bookings@bath.ac.uk<\/a>, and we have some alternative arrangements we can put in place for you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of some changes to our Re:View platform, Panopto are moving our service from America to a Europe host.
