{"id":152,"date":"2019-04-02T10:22:51","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T09:22:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/accommodation-hospitality\/?p=152"},"modified":"2019-04-02T10:23:46","modified_gmt":"2019-04-02T09:23:46","slug":"make-your-own-fuji-snow-mountain-iced-coffee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/campus-services\/2019\/04\/02\/make-your-own-fuji-snow-mountain-iced-coffee\/","title":{"rendered":"Make your own Fuji Snow Mountain Iced Coffee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fancy trying to make your own version of Jun Zhao\u2019s award winning special drink?<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the recipe \u2013 enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>1 shot of espresso<\/p>\n<p>3-4 ice cubes<\/p>\n<p>20-25g homemade Fuji apple syrup<\/p>\n<p>1\/5 glass of cold foam<\/p>\n<p>1 apple slice<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make the espresso and let it cool, so the coffee develops more flavours<\/li>\n<li>Take a 4oz glass and add the apple syrup and then the ice cubes<\/li>\n<li>Pour the espresso into the glass and stir<\/li>\n<li>Top up the glass with cold foam<\/li>\n<li>Serve with a slice of Fuji apple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Jun recommends:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This coffee needs to have higher levels of acidity and low levels of bitterness with fruit note.<\/p>\n<p>The coffee I use is from a coffee farm called Finca La Fortuna in Honduras in central of America.\u00a0This beautiful farm is located at a cooler mountain at an altitude of 1520 metres above sea level, between 4000 and 5000 feet.<\/p>\n<p>This high altitude produces denser and harder beans with high acidity and more complex and distinctive flavours.<\/p>\n<p>This coffee is a light roast and has a wash process which produces higher levels of acidity and low levels of bitterness with fruit notes.<\/p>\n<p>The variety for this coffee bean are Pacas (Arabica) and Icatu (Arabica \u2013 Robusta hybrid variety).<\/p>\n<p>I use 18.5 grams of coffee to produce 37 grams of espresso (brew ratio 1:2).<\/p>\n<p>The coffee combines well with our homemade Fuji Apple Syrup.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you\u2019d rather wait and try one made by the experts, we\u2019ll soon be selling the drink in 4W Cafe on campus.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll also be announcing soon when you can come and try one for free!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fancy trying to make your own version of Jun Zhao\u2019s award winning special drink?
