It may have felt like the summer sun has taken a long time to arrive this year, but here in AHS we're well underway with our summer business.<\/p>\n
We've been hosting conferences<\/a>, summer schools and holiday makers for the last few weeks.<\/p>\n So far we've hosted organisations including the Samaritans<\/a>, who were here for their three regions conference, the Research Methods Festival 2016<\/a>, and this year's\u00a0MEI conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n Make sure you head over to our Conference and Events\u00a0Twitter page to take a look at the kind of things our guests got up to<\/a> at the conferences.<\/p>\n As for guest accommodation<\/a>, we've already\u00a0welcomed more than 40,000 visitors so far\u00a0and we're looking forward to saying\u00a0hello to those who are yet to stay with us.<\/p>\n With the change in business over the summer, it's not just conference delegates and bed and breakfast\u00a0guests that we welcome to the University. We've also hired\u00a0several new casual members of staff, and we're delighted they've joined the team.<\/p>\n Elsewhere in AHS, we've launched a new menu<\/a> in\u00a0Parade Bar and Grill<\/a>. The venue will be closed between 1 August and 9 September while a new extraction system is fitted in the kitchen, so head over there in July to get your teeth into the new menu before the new academic year begins.<\/p>\n And with the new term in mind, student accommodation\u00a0application have been received and are currently being worked through by our student Accommodation team\u00a0as we move towards the arrival of our new student population in September. It's hard to believe that our new students will be here in just a few short weeks, when AHS will return to our student-focussed business.<\/p>\n In the meantime, we've got lots more guests to look after.
