What a pleasure it was hosting Ride Across Britain this weekend<\/a>. An incredible and inspirational effort from all the participants.<\/p>\n

Are there many better places to ride a bicycle in Britain? Bath and the South West\u00a0boast some truly stunning scenery that provided quite the backdrop for the riders.\u00a0One cyclist told us,\u00a0\"After Cheddar Gorge the hills just kept coming\".<\/p>\n

Those hills were a\u00a0big challenge\u00a0for the riders who pulled into the University on Sunday evening ready for a good night's rest. After propelling themselves\u00a0over 100 miles from Devon, we were delighted to be able to guide them to their rooms in The Quads.<\/p>\n

A big hello to cyclists from the @DeloitteRAB<\/a> staying with us on campus this evening. Well done and good luck for the rest of the journey! ?<\/p>\n

And as if that wasn't impressive enough, they were all up at dawn on Monday to carry on to Ludlow.<\/p>\n

The Deloitte Ride Across Britain\u00a0rounds off what has been a hugely successful summer for AHS, with the department bringing in over \u00a31 million for the University through the thousands of\u00a0guest accommodation bookings we have taken\u00a0since mid-June.<\/p>\n

So thank you to Ride Across Britain for staying with us and best of\u00a0luck to all the riders on the rest of the journey to John O'Groats. We hope you have a fantastic\u00a0trip, and we'll see you again next year.<\/p>\n
