Options include policy, communication, science, HR, education and <\/span><span>Wellcome<\/span><span> collection. <\/span><span>(<\/span><i><span>deadline to apply 26.11<\/span><\/i><span>)<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Internships: <\/span><span>opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and find out more about the types of roles available in this type of organisation. Every year, they offer students across the UK the opportunity to apply for 12 month paid placements <\/span><span>in either a charity or housing association. Effectively, they put graduates with potential in roles where they are able to develop the skills needed to become the next leaders in the charity sector.\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>They recruit graduates through assessment centres but do things slightly differently. The format is still: groupwork exercise, written exercise and interview, however they stress that those around you at the assessment centre are not your competition as they are all about promoting collaboration (sometimes the entire cohort invited that day has been offered jobs). <\/span><i><span>Applications are live<\/span><\/i><span>.\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Find out more about <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charity-works.co.uk\/\"><span>CharityWorks<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nextstepsfoundation.co.uk\/\"><b><span>The Next Steps Foundation<\/span><\/b><\/a><span> works towards \u201cbridging the gap between autism and employers by connecting talented individuals to leading corporations\u201d. The founder of the charity was astonished when he found out that 86% of adults with autism were unemployed, 61% of which were desperate to work but just didn\u2019t have access to the support they needed. The organisation has had a very good year, reaching many milestones in terms of getting more support to the charity and helping organisations develop even more career options for people with autism.\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>They offer a wide range of volunteer roles including:\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Social media and marketing<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Mentors<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Psychologist and counsellors<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Legal assistant<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Research assistant<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Business development
