I work as a Student Employability Coach (SEC) in Careers, and it has been really cool meeting so many people from different degrees and backgrounds. Here, I have collated some common questions I get from students and I hope they provide some comfort that we\u2019re all in the same boat when it comes to CVs, applications and the job hunt.<\/p>\n<h3>What is MyFuture?<\/h3>\n<p>MyFuture is a hub of online resources with a plethora of advice no matter where you are in your career journey. Whether you\u2019ve got no idea of what you want to do, or you\u2019re buried in applications, MyFuture is a great place to get started. Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\">this link<\/a>, sign in with your single sign-on, and explore! Some good places to start are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\/Workflows\/Detail\/267\">The Career Readiness quiz<\/a>. Complete this to identify which resource will be most beneficial to you to progress in your career journey<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\/workflows\/Detail\/136\">Get Started guides<\/a>. These guides contain resources for each stage of your career journey; Discover (thinking about your options), Focus (narrowing them down), Act (taking action on your career plans) and Ready (preparing for the transition to the next step). There is also <a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\/workflows\/Detail\/136#stage6865\">a section on Specialist Support<\/a> which provides targeted guidance on topics such as disabilities, working internationally (or for staying in the UK as an international student), and support for postgraduate taught and doctoral students<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\/events\">Browse events<\/a>. See what upcoming events we are hosting, often including workshops to develop your employability skills or opportunities to chat with employers at our Careers Fairs or on campus. These are really useful to get exclusive insights into roles and companies that will make you stand out on your applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a look, and if you\u2019re still stuck or need some more tailored advice, drop in to the Careers Centre! We are open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday during term-time and would be happy to help.<\/p>\n<h3>Is this placements?<\/h3>\n<p>Careers is separate to the Placements Team. Careers give support to a broader range of careers options such as graduate roles and internships, while the Placements Teams focus more on well, placements! Usually there are short wait times (up to about 10-15 minutes) but if you aren\u2019t able to come in or to accommodate for a disability, we can provide callbacks.<\/p>\n<h3>Do you provide interview support?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes we do! We have <a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\/infopages\/detail\/401\">lots of resources available on MyFuture<\/a> to help with interview prep, and you can also drop in for support in practising interview questions. We also offer a tailored 30-minute mock interview if you submit a request through MyFuture (although this is subject to availability).<\/p>\n<h3>Do you offer feedback on further study applications?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes! <a href=\"https:\/\/unihub.bath.ac.uk\/s\/myfuture\/workflows\/detail\/22\">We have resources on MyFuture dedicated to various further study applications<\/a> and you are welcome to drop-in for feedback on a personal statement or application.<\/p>\n<h3>Can I get support as a postgraduate student\/after graduation?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes!
