Where did I grow? What challenged me?\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0also a chance to set intentions, embrace new challenges, and focus on what matters most.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When I think about my own reflections and where I experienced moments of learning and growth, it brings me back to\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">conversations that really mattered<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0-\u00a0the ones that provided me with space to reflect, to be challenged, to feel supported, to receive feedback, to be heard, and to be recognised. These conversations rarely feel easy because they\u00a0require\u00a0honesty, vulnerability, and courage.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At the Centre for Coaching &amp; Leadership,\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0been exploring what\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/campaigns\/generous-leadership\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Generous\u00a0Leadership<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0looks like in action and what makes it difficult or challenging. A recurring theme in our leadership community is stepping into conversations that feel difficult, different, unavoidable, or unknown. These could range from wellbeing-focused conversations with someone struggling at work to addressing noticeable changes in performance. The response to the difficulty? Delay,\u00a0or at worst, avoidance. The recurring\u00a0reality?\u00a0These conversations are important.
