{"id":300,"date":"2025-04-01T11:43:29","date_gmt":"2025-04-01T10:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/civic-engagement\/?p=300"},"modified":"2025-04-03T11:43:45","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T10:43:45","slug":"calling-local-organisations-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/civic-engagement\/2025\/04\/01\/calling-local-organisations-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Calling local organisations wanting student support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking for local organisations that would like to benefit from student support working on a stand-alone project between July and August 2025.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the University's relationship with Santander bank, and to give undergraduate students from our Faculty of Social Sciences an opportunity to gain real-world work experience, we are looking for local opportunities for students to plan and deliver a piece of work for an organisation over a period of two months.<\/p>\n<p>In previous years, students have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Helped Bath City Farm collect data from stakeholders that was used to support the Farm's strategic decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Developed interventions to support Wiltshire Wildlife Trust in reducing its staff and volunteer carbon emissions.<\/li>\n<li>Supported local organisation Pledgeball to develop a resource bank of facts and figures for its website, and designing a user account system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And so much more!<\/p>\n<p>The Santander Employability Projects scheme prioritises students not undertaking a\u202fprofessional placement\u202fas part of their degree, as a way to help them gain real-world experience alongside their studies.
