{"id":924,"date":"2021-08-25T13:54:29","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T12:54:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/clt\/?p=924"},"modified":"2021-08-25T13:54:29","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T12:54:29","slug":"preparing-review-panopto-for-the-2021-22-academic-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/clt\/2021\/08\/25\/preparing-review-panopto-for-the-2021-22-academic-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparing Re:View (Panopto) for the 2021-22 academic year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The terms of the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bath.ac.uk\/publications\/university-of-bath-teaching-capture-policy\/\">Teaching Capture Policy<\/a>, which was approved by Senate in April, mean that\u00a0the University\u202fmust\u202fmake some changes to how data is stored and processed\u00a0in\u00a0Re:View.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2021-22 academic year\u00a0all\u00a0new recordings\u00a0will be\u00a0stored separately from previous recordings.\u00a0Staff and\u00a0students\u00a0will continue to\u00a0be able to\u00a0access\u00a0these new\u00a0recordings\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Moodle-linked folders\u00a0associated with\u00a0their\u00a0Moodle courses.<\/p>\n<p>Recordings from previous academic years\u202fwill still be available directly through the <a href=\"https:\/\/uniofbath.cloud.panopto.eu\/\">Re:View \u202fwebsite<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The AV Team is currently\u202ffinalising testing\u00a0of\u00a0the new structure, with a view to moving it to live\u202fduring the\u202f<strong>week beginning\u00a06th\u00a0September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What action should I take now?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do not take any action\u00a0yet<\/strong>.\u00a0Your\u00a0folders in\u00a0Re:View\u00a0can be left as they are\u00a0until further guidance is\u00a0communicated.\u00a0During the\u00a0<strong>week beginning 6\u00a0September<\/strong> recordings from previous academic years will be\u00a0automatically\u00a0moved into a new folder structure\u00a0in\u00a0Re:View.\u00a0If you wish to reuse recordings during this academic year, we will\u00a0send out further\u00a0guidance\u00a0about\u00a0how to\u00a0move\u00a0these\u00a0to the correct folder\u00a0\u2013 please wait for this\u00a0guidance\u00a0before directing any queries\u00a0to support teams.<\/p>\n<p>If you are running a distance learning course\u00a0and have a new intake of students starting during the week beginning\u00a06th\u00a0September,\u00a0please can you flag this to\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:tel@bath.ac.uk\">TEL team<\/a>\u00a0so that we can\u00a0try to co-ordinate a suitable time for these changes to be implemented.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The terms of the new\u00a0Teaching Capture Policy, which was approved by Senate in April, mean that\u00a0the University\u202fmust\u202fmake some changes to how data is stored and processed\u00a0in\u00a0Re:View.
