Meanwhile Bath\u2019s Vice President (Community and Inclusion), Professor Rajani Naidoo, is one of the academics that has shared their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qs.com\/whats-on-the-agenda-for-universities-in-2023\/\">goals and ambitions for 2023<\/a> in a blog for QS.<\/p>\n<h2>Regulation<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.officeforstudents.org.uk\/news-blog-and-events\/press-and-media\/ofs-fines-university-of-buckingham-for-breaching-condition-of-registration\/#:~:text=The%20Office%20for%20Students%20(OfS,for%20the%20year%20ended%202019.\">OfS has fined the University of Buckingham<\/a> \u00a337231 (0.1% of its qualifying income) for filing its 2019 accounts late. The accounts, which were published in June 2021, revealed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/news\/buckingham-fined-ps37k-filing-2019-accounts-two-years-late?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=editorial-daily&amp;spMailingID=23400305&amp;spUserID=MTAxNzcyMzAyODgzOAS2&amp;spJobID=2135838539&amp;spReportId=MjEzNTgzODUzOQS2\">auditors had said there was \u201cmaterial uncertainty<\/a>\u201d over the institution\u2019s ability to keep operating, and a deficit of \u00a317.5 million for the year.<\/p>\n<p>After a period of consultation, January also sees the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.officeforstudents.org.uk\/news-blog-and-events\/blog\/new-year-new-nss\/?utm_source=OfS+alerts&amp;utm_campaign=7e869c13e3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2022_12_06_quality_blog_COPY_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_-b18e601150-%5BLIST_EMAIL_ID%5D\">launch of the new National Student Survey<\/a> which, among other changes, will not include the overall satisfaction questionnaire for institutions n England. OfS has an article from its Head of Student Engagement and Information, explaining the changes.<\/p>\n<h2>International recruitment<\/h2>\n<p>Former education secretary Justine Greening has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/news\/international-student-cap-would-torpedo-levelling-greening?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=editorial-daily&amp;spMailingID=23400305&amp;spUserID=MTAxNzcyMzAyODgzOAS2&amp;spJobID=2135838539&amp;spReportId=MjEzNTgzODUzOQS2\">, in a letter to the current education secretary<\/a>, warned that government plans to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/news\/mindless-overseas-student-crackdown-would-kill-levelling\">limit the right to recruit overseas students to \u201celite\u201d universities<\/a> would undermine the levelling-up agenda.
