Update from UG admissions^
Applications for our new 2019 cycle are now open on UCAS. Please be aware that decisions on these new applications will not take place for a few weeks. Our aim is to start reviewing at the end of September/early October. Please encourage your students to apply in good time and to avoid disappoint, by the 15th January deadline. This will ensure equal consideration.
New for this year is the announcement of a new scholarship package for our international students. For full details of the scheme, please click here.
We would also encourage you, as advisers, to review our published entry requirements online as there have been a few changes – for example Biology and Biochemistry now require grades of AAB instead of AAA. You can view these here.
You will also be pleased to see that we have published many more countries in our drop down menu detailed under ‘Origin of qualifications’, so we recommend that you explore this information
We can also advise of a new email address: uginternationaladmissions@bath.ac.uk
This email is for agents/schools to contact Pip Pisanu. UG Admissions Manager (International and Faculty Support) directly should there be any questions regarding qualifications, application process, support for individual applicants and general information.
To support the Applicants, we will still be available on admissions@bath.ac.uk for any questions they may have.

New MA English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) course for 2019 ^
All over the world, educational institutions from primary level upwards are increasingly using English to teach subjects to students whose first language is not English.
EMI, also sometimes referred to as English-medium teaching or bilingual education, is seen as a crucial aspect of helping institutions internationalise their offer and prepare their students for a globalised job market. We've launched the new 12 month, full-time MA English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) (subject to final approval). Explore the new course online.
For those interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages, explore our MA TESOL course.

Bath College Update^
The new cohort of 27 International Foundation Students started their studies at Bath College at the beginning of September. One of the new students is the fourth family member to have studied on the programme. Three older brothers and sisters have all studied the IFY at the College and progressed to University, the eldest of which is now studying for a PhD at the University of Bath. The family have strong connections with both Bath College and the University of Bath. The student's mother and both her brothers studied English / IELTS at Bath College many years ago.
We are very proud to have supported this family over the years, and they have enriched the lives of the tutors and fellow students at both institutions.
