Pre-sessional update^

176 students from a range of countries have taken part in our 10- and 5-week Pre-sessional courses this summer. We were delighted to welcome the majority on campus in Bath whilst those unable to travel to the UK took part online. We've worked hard to make sure that all the students have had an excellent experience and a great start to their studies at Bath.

Sarawit Pratchprueng from Thailand (MSc Management) said:

“I have received a lot of love and kindness from new staff at the university and people in the city of Bath as well… I would recommend this course to students who would like to come to study here because you have not only learned about English skills but have also learned useful academic tips which can potentially support your preparation for studying in your main course. In addition, the University of Bath prepares plenty of employability sessions and networking events, which can really support your career opportunities.”

Subject to sufficient take-up, we plan to offer our longer 20-week Pre-sessional course again in 2023, starting in April. Further information will be available in due course.

UG Admissions Update^

We are getting prepared for the forthcoming cycle in 2023. We will try, wherever possible, to process our decisions as soon as we can but, we do have to ensure equity and therefore, some may wait for a decision. It does not matter if an application is made in September or later in the cycle but, to avoid any disappointment, please ensure applications are made before the UCAS deadline of 25 January 2023.

Should you require any support at any stage, do not hesitate to contact us for information. You can email on uginternationaladmissions@bath.ac.uk or admissions@bath.ac.uk.

Visa/Immigration Update^

Remote learning no longer permitted

On 30 June 2022, the Home Office and Department for Education (DfE) confirmed the end of the option to study by distance learning outside of the UK while holding Student permission. Therefore, all students are expected to start their course in person.

The Graduate visa

The University of Bath provides advice and support for international students who would like to work in the UK and can advise students on applying for the Graduate visa. Throughout the academic year, we offer various talks and information sessions about the Graduate visa for students who have started studying with us. Applicants who would like some information on the Graduate visa before they come to Bath can find details on our web pages.
