Introducing the exciting new apps coming in 2019 with Office 365

We will be introducing lots of exciting new apps through Office 365 to Collaborate. Share. Achieve.

Get a head start with your projects using Planner.  Organise and assign tasks to team members and set deadlines, so you're always on schedule.

Teams gives you the space to collaborate on your projects, using the in-built chat function to keep your conversations flowing.

The new webmail experience will allow you to enjoy an increased inbox storage (50GB per user) and the ability to send attachments up to 25MB.  Also, you can feel more secure and have greater control over the reporting of phishing attacks and SPAM, using the new ‘Report Message’ button.

Get your whole team on board with your ideas, designing eye catching presentations and reports using Sway.

Don’t miss Class Notebook, which offers you the ability to organise your lesson plans and course content in digital notebooks.  You can either share these with your whole class or just your lecturer, making it possible to achieve wherever you are in the world.

Wondering where to keep all this content? Don’t panic, you’ll have OneDrive to store your files in one place, share them with others, and get to them from any device connected to the internet.

Of course, there are still the familiar apps like Word, PowerPoint and Excel but these will be in the cloud, so you can access them from anywhere, at any time, and from any device.

Discover the apps that are coming your way in 2019.  A lot to take in?  Don’t worry, we’re planning lots of advice and guidance sessions in the New Year to enable you to make the most of your Office 365 experience.

Keep an eye on our blog and Twitter for further updates coming soon!

  • Hello IT team, I see Planner on this list and I am interested to employ it in the role of Agile project management as part of the IAAPS programme but I'm not seeing it in my list of "All Apps" in O365 - just Tasks and To Do. Can you tell me when it is likely to roll out or if I need to make a special request?
    Many thanks in advance,
