{"id":5352,"date":"2014-01-06T09:00:24","date_gmt":"2014-01-06T09:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=5352"},"modified":"2014-01-06T09:00:24","modified_gmt":"2014-01-06T09:00:24","slug":"take-the-qaa-he-esd-quiz-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2014\/01\/06\/take-the-qaa-he-esd-quiz-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Take the QAA HE ESD Quiz of the year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I noted at the time, I did badly on the Observer science quiz last year, and complained (to myself at least) that the questions seemed more about popular culture than science. \u00a0No such excuses this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/business\/comment\/anthony-hilton-they-may-have-passed-you-by-but-these-events-show-how-things-are-changing-9019068.html\">year<\/a> where, again, I only managed very modest success.\u00a0 I got 8 \/ 20 on the multiple choice part of the quiz; however, given that I educatedly guessed most of the answers, (and with 4 options to choose from),\u00a0this seems hardly a great performance. \u00a0Worse, I only got 1 \/ 30 on the \u201cwho did ...\u201d \/ \u201cwhen was ...\u201d \/ \u201cwhat is ...\u201d part of the quiz, though I was nearly right some of the time, and so would likely have done better had this been multiple choice as well!
