{"id":5416,"date":"2014-01-15T08:50:43","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T08:50:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=5416"},"modified":"2014-01-15T08:50:43","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T08:50:43","slug":"vote-vote-vote-for-jamie-agombar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2014\/01\/15\/vote-vote-vote-for-jamie-agombar\/","title":{"rendered":"Vote, Vote, Vote for Jamie Agombar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Guardian\u2019s <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/higher-education-network\/competition\/2014\/jan\/14\/higher-education-inspiring-leader-vote\">Inspiring Leader Award<\/a><\/em> recognises and showcases inspirational leadership in the UK higher education sector.\u00a0 This year, the paper\u2019s university awards judges have nominated seven people for this category which is about leadership in the broadest sense.\u00a0 Voting is open to members of the Guardian Higher Education Network.<\/p>\n<p>One of the seven nominees is Jamie Agombar, ethical and environmental manager of the NUS.\u00a0 The citation says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000080\">\u201cJamie has developed NUS's award-winning national sustainability programme, working with students' unions, universities, communities and suppliers, while sitting on a range of key sector bodies.
