This was the title of a debate at the University of Worcester last Friday. \u00a0I was on the panel. \u00a0I made notes beforehand but forgot to take them with me. \u00a0The panel was eclectic: a consultant oncologist; a social entrepreneur of national note, a director from Barclays, a knowledge transfer guru, two Worcester students who\u2019d made names for themselves \u2013 and me.<\/p>\n
My initial comments were:<\/p>\n
1. I do hope so \u2013 otherwise we really are stuffed.<\/em><\/p>\n
2. It rather depends on what you mean by 'leadership' \u2013 and by 'market economy'.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I did mean to mention the circular economy \u2013 but forgot! \u00a0Notes are<\/em> useful, I told\u00a0myself afterwards. \u00a0Peter Kropotkin, Mandy Rice Davies and Gro H Brundtland\u00a0all got a mention, though sadly not by me. \u00a0Very enjoyable. \u00a0Edited highlights will soon be on line, I'm told \u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
