{"id":6198,"date":"2015-01-08T06:08:17","date_gmt":"2015-01-08T06:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=6198"},"modified":"2015-01-08T06:08:17","modified_gmt":"2015-01-08T06:08:17","slug":"sustedpu-in-plymouth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2015\/01\/08\/sustedpu-in-plymouth\/","title":{"rendered":"#sustedPU in Plymouth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am off to\u00a0the University of Plymouth today\u00a0for\u00a0the <em>Education for Sustainability in Higher Education: Achievements &amp; Prospects<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.plymouth.ac.uk\/research\/pedrio\/newsandevents\/Pages\/Education-for-Sustainability-in-Higher-Education-Conference.-Achievements-and-prospects.-.aspx\">conference<\/a>. \u00a0If you're not there, the hashtag is\u00a0<strong><em>#sustedPU <\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It's a full day. \u00a0It begins with a\u00a0keynote from Jane Davidson (INSPIRE, University of Wales, Trinity St. David): \"<em>Life, the Universe and Everything - how should universities educate for a constrained future?<\/em>\" \u00a0There are 9\u00a0paper sessions through the day, a set of <em>Plymouth Plaza<\/em> roundtables (which I first read as Plymouth Pizza, for some reason), a poster session, a locally-sourced, fairly-traded, shade-grown, equitable lunch, followed by more roundtables this time an\u00a0'<em>ESD in practice Plaza<\/em>' , and a brief 'guest address' from Jamie Agombar on \"<em>Students, Skills and Sustainability<\/em>\". \u00a0It ends with a keynote from\u00a0Stephen Sterling (UoP): \"<em>So far, so good ... and so what? \u00a0ESD and the next decade<\/em>\". \u00a0As I'm not at all sure about the \"good\", I'm looking forward to what he has to say.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am off to\u00a0the University of Plymouth today\u00a0for\u00a0the Education for Sustainability in Higher Education: Achievements &amp; Prospects conference. \u00a0If you're not there, the hashtag is\u00a0#sustedPU .
