{"id":6334,"date":"2015-05-29T08:42:09","date_gmt":"2015-05-29T08:42:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=6334"},"modified":"2015-05-29T08:42:09","modified_gmt":"2015-05-29T08:42:09","slug":"a-festival-of-disruptive-innovation-the-dif","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2015\/05\/29\/a-festival-of-disruptive-innovation-the-dif\/","title":{"rendered":"A Festival of disruptive Innovation \u2013 the DIF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In case you're wondering what happened to the EMF \u2013 the Ellen MacArthur <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org\">Foundation<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0here's an update.<\/p>\n<p>You'll recall that it\u00a0began\u00a0in 2010 with the aim to inspire a generation to rethink, redesign and build a positive future. \u00a0The Foundation works with the idea of\u00a0the circular economy which it says provides a coherent framework for systems level redesign, and as such offers us an opportunity to harness innovation and creativity to enable a positive and regenerative economy.<\/p>\n<p>It still works closely with HE and business, but\u00a0has largely abandoned the\u00a0school sector, except for international focused work. \u00a0It is working with the informal sector through the idea of <em>disruptive innovation<\/em>. \u00a0Forget Hay, Cheltenham, Bath, Woodstock and Glastonbury, it's disruptive innovation that's the thing. \u00a0Here are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkdif.co\">details<\/a> of the 2015 festival [the DIF], where you can also download details of what happened in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>I am sharing a platform with EMF guru, Ken Webster, next week in Cambridge, at a Climate Histories <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crassh.cam.ac.uk\/events\/26146\">seminar<\/a>, so may well have more to report on all this.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In case you're wondering what happened to the EMF \u2013 the Ellen MacArthur Foundation\u00a0\u2013\u00a0here's an update.
