{"id":6599,"date":"2016-02-24T08:38:22","date_gmt":"2016-02-24T08:38:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=6599"},"modified":"2016-02-24T08:38:22","modified_gmt":"2016-02-24T08:38:22","slug":"unescos-badly-run-lottery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2016\/02\/24\/unescos-badly-run-lottery\/","title":{"rendered":"UNESCO's badly-run lottery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Flush from the triumph of its first UNESCO-Japan Prize on ESD, UNESCO has issued\u00a0a second <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/media-services\/single-view\/news\/unesco_calls_for_nominations_for_2016_prize_on_education_for_sustainable_development\/#.VsX9Lcehs7R\">call<\/a> for nominations for the next round (2016) where three lucky winners will receive\u00a0$US 50,000. \u00a0It was\u00a0awarded for the first time in November 2015\u00a0to organizations from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/prize-esd\/2015laureats\/rootAbility\">Germany<\/a>, Indonesia and Guatemala, and El Salvador.<\/p>\n<p>UNESCO is inviting the permanent delegations of all UN member states, as well as NGOs in official partnership with, it\u00a0to submit up to three nominations.
