At the recent GEEP meeting, we watched a video of a child in floods of tears as he was about to be driven home from school. \u00a0He was railing about what he'd learned about environmentally destructive policies: \"Why are they killing all the animals?\", he kept asking. \u00a0 I wondered if this is what bad environmental education does to\u00a0you (or was it ESD, perhaps?).<\/p>\n
The child's\u00a0mother seems to take it all in her stride, and in many ways her calm response was admirable (if deciding to video it all, or suggesting he make a poster, were\u00a0less so). \u00a0I wondered if she went back to the school to ask how and why her child had been reduced to an emotional\u00a0wreck.<\/p>\n
