{"id":6887,"date":"2017-02-20T07:55:40","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T07:55:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=6887"},"modified":"2017-02-20T07:55:40","modified_gmt":"2017-02-20T07:55:40","slug":"a-green-light-in-the-south-west-for-a-lot-of-presentation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2017\/02\/20\/a-green-light-in-the-south-west-for-a-lot-of-presentation\/","title":{"rendered":"A Green Light in the South-west for a lot of presentation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I'm told that\u00a0Green Light South-west will be holding an ESD <em>Teachmeet<\/em> next month. \u00a0I've never been to one of those (sheltered life, etc), and so I'm going along on March 2nd. \u00a0I do wonder, though,\u00a0whether I'll (or anyone else) will get a chance to contribute anything.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers (SWLfSC) say that the \"emphasis is on sharing ideas, good practice,\u00a0and pedagogy across the region\", that\u00a0it's \"an invitation to all teachers engaged\u00a0in developing teaching and learning\u00a0for Sustainable Development (ESD)\", and that there will be \"short and lively teaching and learning\u00a0inputs\"\u00a0on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ESD Current context for teachers\u00a0and teaching - Justin Dillon<\/li>\n<li>Systems thinking in the classroom\u00a0- Stephen Sterling<\/li>\n<li>Free CPD programmes on\u00a0sustainability education - Paul\u00a0Vare<\/li>\n<li>Recycling and resource use - ideas\u00a0for the classroom - Sheila Gundry<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor learning using the John\u00a0Muir approach, reconnecting with\u00a0the elements.
