{"id":7361,"date":"2018-12-11T07:01:54","date_gmt":"2018-12-11T07:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=7361"},"modified":"2018-12-11T07:01:54","modified_gmt":"2018-12-11T07:01:54","slug":"vw-blues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2018\/12\/11\/vw-blues\/","title":{"rendered":"VW blues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought my trusty electric car \u2013 a VW eUp! \u2013 had a serious problem the other week when it would not charge, and I didn\u2019t have enough in the battery to get it to a VW dealer \u2013 an extreme case of range anxiety.<\/p>\n<p>However, thanks to helpful neighbours, I discovered that it was only the charging cable that was faulty, but after 5 years of heavy usage I wasn\u2019t too surprised.<\/p>\n<p>This thickish cable comes with a 13 amp plug, a socket that plugs into the car, and a gizmo with flashing lights; they can be had for a very immodest \u00a3200 or so on the internet.
