{"id":7390,"date":"2019-02-12T08:20:46","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T08:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=7390"},"modified":"2019-02-12T08:20:46","modified_gmt":"2019-02-12T08:20:46","slug":"ofsted-and-gl-esd-ee-ccefs-etc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2019\/02\/12\/ofsted-and-gl-esd-ee-ccefs-etc\/","title":{"rendered":"Ofsted and (G)L\/ESD\/EE\/CC(E)fS etc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I see that Ofsted is encouraging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/ofsted-launches-a-consultation-on-proposals-for-changes-to-the-education-inspection-framework\">consultation<\/a> on proposed changes to its inspection framework. \u00a0I wondered whether to bother thinking about thinking about responding.<\/p>\n<p>I decided not to. \u00a0I might have done so if I thought that Ofsted had any interest in (G)L\/ESD\/EE\/CC(E)fS etc,. \u00a0But it seems to me that it still has a clear standards \/ equality of opportunity agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I think that, in Ofsted\u2019s view, schools are not good schools because they focus on\u00a0(G)L\/ESD\/EE\/CC(E)fS etc. \u00a0Rather they think that such schools focus on (G)L\/ESD\/EE\/CC(E)fS etc, because they are good schools.<\/p>\n<p>I think so too. \u00a0In other words, the correlation is the opposite from that which (G)L\/ESD\/EE\/CC(E)fS etc, advocates of all stripes wish (and worse, think) it to be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I see that Ofsted is encouraging consultation on proposed changes to its inspection framework. \u00a0I wondered whether to bother thinking about thinking about responding.
