{"id":7689,"date":"2020-04-22T08:49:23","date_gmt":"2020-04-22T08:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=7689"},"modified":"2020-04-22T09:01:04","modified_gmt":"2020-04-22T09:01:04","slug":"national-youth-climate-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2020\/04\/22\/national-youth-climate-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"National Youth Climate Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I'm going to the National Youth Climate Summit today without leaving my desk. \u00a0There are obvious carbon and time advantages to having a virtual event, even when it's a necessity because of the Covid-19 lockdown. \u00a0It's also a democratising mode (like NT Live) without the usual need and expense to get to London. \u00a0I'm an enthusiast.<\/p>\n<p>It is being organised by the Robert Ferguson Primary School in Carlisle, in partnership with Transform our World, the national resource hub for teachers to bring environmental action into the classroom. \u00a0The organisers say:<\/p>\n<h5>\"<em>The National Youth Climate Summit 2020 is an opportunity for your students to hear from an array of inspiring speakers - from leading professionals in the environment sector to young climate activists.
