{"id":7890,"date":"2021-05-05T10:48:41","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T10:48:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=7890"},"modified":"2021-05-05T10:48:50","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T10:48:50","slug":"working-together","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2021\/05\/05\/working-together\/","title":{"rendered":"Working together?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/indd.adobe.com\/view\/82eb2933-9681-4f1b-a7ed-6796ee390d4f\">an article<\/a> for Issue 4 of\u00a0<em>Elephant Times, <\/em>the new venture from\u00a0<em>Tide~<\/em><em>. <\/em>\u00a0It ended with a challenge to organisations promoting development education and global learning:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2013 \u00a0remember that tackling climate change and environmental issues is vital if all humans are to live fulfilling lives<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>And a challenge to organisations who promote environmental education:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2013 remember that how people live is key to resolving environmental issues. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I said that a third challenge, and the biggest, is for all such organisations to come together, find common ground, and work in partnership to help young people learn about what should really and profoundly matter to us all.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>It was based on my experience of the field (that, sadly, ought to be <em>fields<\/em>) and my\u00a0readings of these papers:<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Kagawa, Fumiyo &amp; David Selby (2010) Introduction.
