{"id":7938,"date":"2021-07-23T06:54:07","date_gmt":"2021-07-23T06:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=7938"},"modified":"2021-07-23T06:54:07","modified_gmt":"2021-07-23T06:54:07","slug":"learning-becomes-unesco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2021\/07\/23\/learning-becomes-unesco\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning becomes UNESCO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks (I think) to the <a href=\"https:\/\/naee.org.uk\/july-12th-2021\/\">NAEE weekly round<\/a> up for the info on the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/futuresofeducation\/international-commission\">UNESCO wheeeeeeze<\/a>. \u00a0It's another research commission; this time on the Futures of Education. \u00a0Note the plural. \u00a0The commissioners seem a random selection from the great 'n' good of UNESCOland.<\/p>\n<p>UNESCO says that its initiative \"aims to rethink education and shape the future. \u00a0The initiative is catalyzing a global debate on how knowledge, education and learning need to be reimagined in a world of increasing complexity, uncertainty, and precarity\". \u00a0Precarity!<\/p>\n<section class=\"section s-text bg-white\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"s-content aos-parent\">\n<div class=\"s-text-body\">\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0In November 2021 the commission aims to publish a \"forward-looking vision of what education and learning might yet become and offer a policy agenda.
