{"id":7970,"date":"2021-10-11T08:00:56","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T08:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/?p=7970"},"modified":"2021-10-11T08:00:56","modified_gmt":"2021-10-11T08:00:56","slug":"panda-xr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bath.ac.uk\/edswahs\/2021\/10\/11\/panda-xr\/","title":{"rendered":"Panda XR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The XR Youth Solidarity group, together with activists from <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtfwwf.org\/\">WTF WWF<\/a><\/em>, targeted WWF UK headquarters last month. \u00a0The <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/2021\/aug\/31\/vegan-activists-block-dairy-distribution-centre-in-buckinghamshire\">Guardian<\/a><\/em> reported that they went there to express solidarity with indigenous groups across Africa who they say have been evicted and persecuted through WWF\u2019s conservation activities. \u00a0The group said:<\/p>\n<p>\"<em>WTF WWF are occupying on behalf of indigenous Maasai communities living in Ngorongoro conservation area in Tanzania, Gbabandi, Cameroon\u2019s Forest Indigenous Peoples\u2019 Platform and the Sengwer indigenous people of Kenya.
